Looking after your new
mobile phone battery
How to get the best performance from your new battery.
- You should give your new battery an initial charge of 16 hours continuously
before using your phone to make or receive calls, regardless of the fact that
the phone may say it is fully charged. You are well advised to do this for the
second charge as well. Doing so can make a great difference to your
battery's performance in the long run. Most people find charging overnight the
easiest way to do this.
After this initial charge you will be able to use your mobile phone.
Extend Your Mobile
Phone Battery Standby and Talktime
There are a few things you can do that will reduce your battery's consumption,
thus allowing more standby and talktime between charges. Never leave your
mobile phone close to a heat source or in a vehicle on hot days.
Other ways for extending
phone battery life is by getting rid of the sound your phone makes when you
press a key. You should find how to do that in your phone's settings. Use a
ring tone instead of the vibration alarm whenever possible, since ring tones
drain less energy.
